Frequently Asked Questions:

How are the stones attached? I use a super strong and extremely expensive (worth it!) wire that I hand sew the stones onto the leather. I have perfected the art of this application so stones are strong, secure and won’'t wobble or sag. And, the wire does not break with normal usage. Don’t neglect your tack or allow rubbing, I can’t control breakage for horse tampering or neglect of the tack set. You should have your tack for literally decades if you take care of it. I have tack out there that is still gorgeous and intact after 24 years!

How is the horse protected from the wiring? I cover all wire work with soft and durable suede leather. This is an added security for stores and wires and protects the horse from the wires.

Do you guarantee? Yes! I have a lifetime guarantee on all my custom work for the original owner of the tack. You are responsible for tightening screw and making sure they are secure. I don’t replace buckles and conchos free of charge because you didn’t check and maintain the screws.

How/where do you ship? I ship to U.S. addresses only. I use only USPS for shipping, please do not ask me to ship UPS or FedEx, it’s always a nightmare with them and it’s a hassle I don’t want.

How do I clean and oil the tack and stones? You can use mink oil around the custom work and other leather areas as normal. Try not to oil the protective backing as this will compromise the adhesive I use to back the work. You my use a damp cloth on all stones and crystals to clean them and you can use Tarnex on all .925 silver and conchos to keep them bright and happy.

Are your stones real? Yes, 1000% yes! I make a big deal out of my use of authentic turquoise and am a certified turquoise specialist. As far as I can see I am the only tack designer that uses real turquoise, and yes, I can tell just from looking at pictures, that’s what certification does for you. Sad but true. If you value authentic you may want to shop with me.
