I am beyond thrilled to have Amber on Team Turquoise and excited to see all this lovely young lady will accomplish and achieve!
My name is Amber McGuire, I am 16 years old and a sophomore in high school. I have been around horses even before I could walk. I always had a passion for horses, but my passion grew stronger when I got my first pony Shelly. She taught me and always challenged me to be better. Shelly and I did everything together, we competed in western pleasure, English, show jumping, barrel racing and junior rodeo and many more events. As I grew out of riding Shelly, I got a new horse and his name is Whiskey, me and my family adopted him for $500, he was a rescue and was malnourished. He was two when we got him and my dad and I trained him together, he is now ten years old. I never dreamed of what we could accomplish together and just how far we have come. We have competed with some of the world's best barrel horses on the west coast. Two years ago we got a three year old mare, her name is Blondie, and I am training her on my own. I am still working with her, our future is so bright. During my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends and baking.
